Marion County's Annual Financial Report

Marion County Mayor David Jackson announced today that the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office has released the county’s Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017. 

“I am pleased to report a successful audit, with just two minor findings which have already been corrected,” Mayor Jackson said. “I want to thank all of our Marion County officials including the Board of Commissioners, Board of Education, Audit Committee and our full team of Marion County employees. Their hard work every day contributes to a successful audit, and we appreciate your dedication to our county.”

The goal of every audit is to ensure a strong internal system of checks and balances that gives taxpayers confidence that their county officials are managing funds appropriately. 

Mayor Jackson also thanked Tennessee Comptroller Justin Wilson and his team for their continued partnership in performing the audit and issuing the final report.
