Marion County Tourism Map
Tourism is big business in Marion County. County Mayor David Jackson reports that tourists spend more than $38 million annually visiting restaurants and attractions and lodging across the county, contributing to the community’s tax base and job market and ranking Marion County 41 out of 95 counties in Tennessee for tourism dollars.
In support of the local tourism industry, Marion County has taken several steps to attract more visitors and help promote local businesses catering to our visitors, including creating a formal tourism committee and evaluating more grant opportunities.
The county is also excited to make our Marion County Tourism Map available. The map highlights so many of the attractions that bring tourists to our community year after year. The paper map can be picked up at local hotels and restaurants.
In addition to the paper map, there is an interactive online map for folks to be able to plan their trips before arriving in Marion County. Use the icons to easily identify attractions, museums, restaurants and outdoor activities. Click the map legend on the top left corner for a list view. Because the map is built in Google Maps you can easily use it for directions and contact information for each location. If you have friends or family coming to stay with you, send them this link to help them organize a fun trip! https://marioncountytn.net/map/
“We welcome all travelers to Marion County – whether they’re visiting family, planning a vacation, or just passing through. We want them to feel welcome and free to explore the beautiful places that make our community so special,” Mayor Jackson said. “These maps will give tourists – and maybe even a few locals – plenty of options to make their time in Marion County fun and educational.”
