Halloween 2020 Guidelines

Halloween is a fun time of year for our children, but with the COVID-19 pandemic, our children have missed out on a lot of activities in the past seven months. This year’s Halloween falls on Saturday night, which is also the same night that we are to have a full moon, which should make for a great Halloween night. We have had several inquiries concerning what guidelines to follow regarding going door to door trick or treating. After speaking with the city mayors, we all agree that it should be the decision of the citizens on whether they give candy out or whether parents take the children trick or treating.

We have put together a list of guidelines that we would ask you to follow on Halloween night.

  1. If you want children to come to your door to get their candy, please turn your outside lights on. If you are not handing out treats, please leave all outside lights off.

  2. Parents – when you are taking your children around, please do not go to a house that has their lights off. We ask that you respect their decision not to give out candy.

  3. We ask that families stay together and to social distance from other families as best as you can.

  4. If a child or parent is sick, please stay home. Please make sure you are not sick if you plan to hand out candy.

Please respect each citizen’s personal decision on whether they hand out candy or not.

EVERYONE, HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
