Marion County Park Booking Day Happening Feb. 4

Located in Jasper, Marion County Park is surrounded by the Tennessee River, Nickajack Lake, and the mountains, making it the perfect spot for everything from fishing and boating to swimming and kayaking. At the park, there is ample camping space with 60 RV sites with electric and water hook-ups and over 40 primitive camping sites. Campers will find plenty of options with both waterfront and off water sites.

“Marion County Park is a great campground that will bring you back to the basics of camping,” Marion County Park manager Elonia James said. “It’s great for kids and adults to ride bicycles, walk, hammock or just hang out by the campfire.”

Don’t miss out on booking your favorite camping spot for your upcoming vacation - the annual booking day will be on Feb. 4 at the Marion County Park, located at 9696 Hwy 41, Jasper TN 37347. Guests will line up to make in person reservations, and it is first come first serve for bookings.

If you cannot make the in-person event, Marion County Park will resume phone bookings the next business day.

Guidelines for Marion County Park Booking Day:

  • On Feb. 4, the park will open up to traffic at 5:30 a.m. CST, and guests may wait in the gravel lot to the left of the park entrance until Jerry Mcgee Rd. is opened.

  • Starting at 6:00 a.m., vehicles may begin lining up around the Jerry Mcgee Rd. (Tent Side) of the park and be directed back down making the loop to the office. Boat Ramp Rd. will be open to fishermen only. No early line up. Violators will forfeit the chance to book on this day.

  • The office will open at 8:00 a.m., and bookings will begin. At this time, Marion County Park asks everyone to stay near their vehicle so they can move the line as quickly as possible.

  • Only two guests per vehicle may make reservations on this day. Reservations must be made for yourself (site occupant) and no booking for family and friends. Reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. Driver license is required, and you must be 18 years of age or older to book a site.

2023 Rates, RV Site with Electric and Water Hook Up:

  • Non-peak (November-April): $20 night

  • Peak (May-October): $25 night

  • Primitive tent sites: $15 per tent per night
