Looking to plan your next getaway? Whether you live in Marion County and want a staycation or you’re traveling from outside the area, Tennessee River Gorge Island Cabins and Tennessee River Gorge Mountain Cabins offer serenity and relaxation, making the perfect getaways to enjoy the East Tennessee scenery.

The Tennessee River Gorge Island Cabins are private waterfront cabins on five acres of the Tennessee River Gorge Island. There are currently three cabins available to rent on the island. On the mountain, there are two Tennessee River Gorge Mountain Cabins currently available and four more coming soon. The mountain cabins are Amish-built and are located in a 12-acre mountain forest.

Each cabin is private, located where you cannot see or hear the other properties. The cabins are available at different prices and offer different amenities. Booking any of these properties includes a covered deck, outdoor dining space, shared swimming pool, A/C, boat docks, one canoe or two kayaks, a gas grill, and one crate of firewood.

“We are proud Marion County supporters,” Tennessee River Gorge Island Cabins and Canoe Kayak Chattanooga owner Chuck Smith said. “The Tennessee River Gorge is the most beautiful place in the United States. The mountains here are 1,800 to 1,900 feet tall and are the highest mountains of the whole 652 miles of the Tennessee River.”

Whether you’re staying at a Tennessee River Gorge cabin or are just interested in kayaking, Canoe Kayak Chattanooga offers $35 all day kayak rentals, and drop offs are available at three miles, eight miles, and 13 miles. Additionally, pontoon and lund fishing boats are available to rent.

To book a cabin, call (423)280-3250 and state your name, dates, and how many people are included in your booking. To rent a kayak, call the same number and state your name, what time you want to kayak, and how many people will be there.

Right now, you can book three nights at the Tennessee River Gorge cabins and the fourth night is free. Additionally, first responders can rent a kayak for free and receive a discount on cabins.
