Celebrate the 4th of July in Marion County
Marion County is celebrating Independence Day with several opportunities for families, friends, and visitors to come together for fun, entertainment, and patriotic festivities.
The celebration begins on Thursday, July 2, with the Town of Jasper Movie in the Park at Jasper City Park. The free screening of Zootopia 2 begins at 7:45 p.m., making it the perfect way to kick off the holiday weekend.
On Friday, July 3, line the streets of downtown Jasper for the Town of Jasper Independence Day Parade. The parade begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature festive floats, community organizations and plenty of hometown spirit.

Also on Saturday, July 4, the South Pittsburg Independence Day Celebration will take place at the South Cedar Stage beginning at 5:30 p.m. The free community event features live music, food vendors, family-friendly activities and concludes with a spectacular fireworks display around 9 p.m., offering another great way to celebrate Independence Day in Marion County.
Celebrations will also be held on Saturday, July 4, at Jasper's Big Boom Celebration & 250th Fireworks at Jasper City Park. Activities begin at 4 p.m. and include family-friendly entertainment, food and community fun before the fireworks light up the sky at 9 p.m. in celebration of Independence Day and America's 250th anniversary. The event will feature a performance by classic rock tribute band A Foreigners Journey to Boston, bringing the music of Foreigner, Journey, and Boston to the stage ahead of the fireworks display. The evening concludes with Jasper’s signature fireworks show, scheduled to begin at approximately 9 p.m.
