Whitwell’s 70th Annual Labor Day Celebration Returns

Mark your calendars for one of Marion County’s favorite annual traditions! The Red, White & Whitwell Labor Day Celebration returns on Monday, September 7, bringing a full day of family fun, hometown pride, and patriotic festivities as Whitwell celebrates its 70th anniversary as an incorporated city.

The day will feature the beloved Labor Day Parade, along with live entertainment and activities including a mud bog, burnout contest, mechanical bull, food trucks, bingo, a petting zoo, inflatables for children, and plenty of shopping from local artisans, makers, and small businesses. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. with festivities to follow directly after.

Calling All Vendors

Organizers are currently accepting applications for craft, artisan, merchandise, and food vendors who would like to be part of this year's celebration.

Vendor spaces are available for a $20 registration fee, with proceeds helping support plans for an inclusive playground at Whitwell City Park.

Whether you sell handmade goods, unique crafts, boutique items, specialty foods, or other products, this is a great opportunity to showcase your business during one of Marion County's largest community events.
