TN US HWY 41 - TDOT Traffic Notice

According to County Mayor, David Jackson, TDOT (Tennessee Department of Transportation) has contacted his office to advise that the slide area which occurred on TN US Hwy 41 near Haletown last week results in the need to restrict US Hwy 41 along this area to one lane with traffic signals. At the 26.5 mile marker traffic is reduced to one lane. A traffic light has been installed to allow both directions of travel. Expect delays. This area is east of Haletown and is generally referred to as the “mile straight”. The lane closure duration is unknown at this time.

According to TDOT they have geotechnical engineers working to make recommendations for a more permanent fix.
